Meetings, talks, workshops, actions days, serious stuff, fun stuff - there's always something going on at The Survivors' Collective!
We try hard to keep all our events free of charge and accessible. If you want to help, just get in touch - we need every helping hand we can get :)
16/11/19 SURVIVORS' FORUM 1pm-4pm
@ London LSE
At the Survivors' Collective we meet once a month for an open forum, to get connected, share our experiences, and join forces in activism & creative projects. This time we will draft a list of questions on survivor issues for the upcoming general election.
All survivors of childhood sexual abuse are welcome - If you'd like to attend, please send us a quick message:
12/03/17 WOMEN OF THE WORLD FESTIVAL

We are excited to be at WOW again this year :) Join us for an afternoon SPEAKING OUT:
3pm Giving Testimony: Saffron and Silke will share their experience on a panel together with fellow survivors of sexual violence.
4pm - 6pm Meet the Collective: Our lovely members Stef, Kate, and Shereen will be there to answer your questions or have a chat.
6:15pm Discussion Group: Silke will facilitate an open discussion about what it means to speak out about sexual abuse, together with Winnie from Clear Lines.
25/02/17 MEDSIN: SEEING THE SPECTRUM
Conference on Gender & Health - University College London
We had an amazing workshop with a group of brilliant medicine students on how to support survivors of childhood sexual abuse in healthcare. There was a common theme of wanting to break down barriers between professionalism and lived experience and we all went away with 10 tangible steps of action we can take. A survivor activists dream :)
18/11 - 19/11/16: MitSprache - BERLIN
German Survivor Association Congress
We are so excited to take part in this congress by survivors and for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, organised by the German association of survivors, and are looking forward to meeting lots of other survivor activists :)
18/10/16 TELLIT FESTIVAL: ACTING OUT
POETRY & THEATRE
Living as survivors in a world that too often has no space for our stories, in a society that too often tells us to stay silent & invisible, we decided to do the opposite: Take the stage and ACT OUT!
And because that was so much fun, more shows are coming soon :)
04/09/16 FEMINIST SOLIDARITY FESTIVAL
We had a great time at the Feminist Solidarity Festival which was organized by our amazing fellow activists at Fourth Wave LFA
At our info stall and our speaking out workshop we had a lot of conversations & questions about how people can support survivors and how we can start speaking about sexual abuse.
Our founder did a vlog about the festival, check it out for some highlights of the day and a good dose of feminism & solidarity:
12/03/16 WoW FESTIVAL LONDON
We were very proud to be part of the Women of the World Festival!
Our founder Silke spoke on the Sexual Assault & Sexual Abuse: Giving Testimony panel and facilitated the discussion group afterwards, together with Winnie M Li.
The collective was also represented with a stall at the marked place and we had a great day of meeting a lot of great people :)
27/02/16 KEBLE ARTS FESTIVAL OXFORD
As part of the Keble Arts Festival in Oxford University Silke and Kate facilitated a session of ACTING OUT:
Through discussion and elements of drama & movement, participants were invited to find ways to talk about sexual abuse in a safe and constructive way.
The response was very moving. Common themes of silence, oppression, and assumptions emerged, which we then further explored through through drama and movement. In a short time a deep connection developed between participants, transcending individual issues end experiences.
October 2015 WHY FESTIVAL - MANCHESTER
Two of our team members, Ana and Silke, went to the ‘What’s Happening to the Young’ Festival in Manchester to speak about consent and how to assure that children and young people have the knowledge, resources and support they need. An important theme was the lack of education about sexual abuse and consent in schools, which is an issue that we are focusing on this year with our school & education project.
August 2015 CLEAR LINES FESTIVAL
The Clear Lines Festival was our first ever public appearance. It was an amazing space to meet other survivors, supporters, activists, and projects - with such a strong sense of community that by the 3rd day we felt like coming home when entering the venue in the morning. The Collective was represented at the open sessions, with our #WhyWeSpeakOut campaign, and with our founder Silke speaking on a panel about how to protect children from sexual abuse.
